چکیده

سالمندی روندی طبیعی است و افزایش سن در جوامع همگام با چالش‌های رفتاری و فیزیولوژیکی می‌باشد که مهم‌ترین آن‌ها سه شاخصه استرس ادراک‌شده، افسردگی و هورمون کورتیزول است. این پژوهش به‌منظور مقایسه میزان هورمون کورتیزول با استرس ادراک‌شده و افسردگی در زنان سالمند ساکن خانه سالمندان خصوصی و ساکن منزل شخصی در شهر تهران انجام گرفت. جامعه آماری، شامل زنان سالمند، با میانگین سنی 65 الی 75 سال، ساکن خانه سالمندان و منزل شخصی در سطح شهر تهران بود. ابزار گردآوری داده‌ها شامل مقیاس پرسشنامه افسردگی بک، پرسشنامه استرس ادراک‌شده کوهن و تعیین میزان کورتیزول سرمی در آزمایشگاه بود. نتایج پژوهش نشان داد میزان هورمون کورتیزول و افسردگی در زنان سالمند ساکن آسایشگاه و منزل شخصی تفاوت معنی‌داری در سطح 05/0P< داشت. در میزان متغیر استرس ادراک‌شده، تفاوت معنی‌داری وجود نداشت. تفاوت میزان افسردگی ممکن است ناشی از روابط خانوادگی و حضور افراد خانواده در منزل باشد و عدم تفاوت میزان استرس ادراک‌شده و نسبت معکوس آن با افزایش سن احتمالاً ماحصل پختگی و باورپذیری اتفاقات در دنیا می‌باشد. با توجه به تأثیر محیط زندگی در مسائل روانشناختی سالمندان، می‌باید تمهیداتی ملی جهت افزایش کیفیت زندگی سالمندی و توانمندسازی آنان از طریق حرکت‌های اجتماعی و دولتی اندیشیده شود.
