چکیده

در این پژوهش اثرات تزریق زیر جلدی دو سطح دیازپام (100 و 200 میکروگرم) بر ویژگی‌های رفتاری و سطح گلوکز خون، کاهش نسبی وزن زنده، وزن عضله سینه و کیسه‌ زرده 940 جوجه گوشتی نر یکروزه، طی حمل و نقل جاده‌ای به مسافت 1200 کیلومتر بررسی شد. بدین منظور 9 پارامتر رفتاری پرندگان در 4 بخشِ سفر اندازه‌گیری شد. با کشتار و خونگیری 8 پرنده از هر تیمار در پایان هر بخش از سفر پارامترهای فیزیولوژیکی سنجش شد. افزایش طول سفر موجب کاهش وزن زنده و کاهش وزن عضله سینه و همچنین افزایش جذب کیسه زرده در جوجه‌های تازه تفریخ‌شده گردید (05/0p <). دیازپام در هر دوز باعث آرام‌سازی سریع پرندگان در چند ثانیه پس از تزریق شد. دیازپام با آرامش عضلات باعث کاهش رفتارهایی شد که فعالیت عضلانی بیشتری نیاز داشتند. نتایج نشان داد که دیازپام می‌توانند بر رفتار پیش‌بینی نشده جوجه‌های گوشتی در طول سفر اثرگذار باشند. علاوه بر این دیازپام فراوانی رفتارهایی که نیاز به انرژی بالایی داشتند را کاهش و فراوانی رفتارهایی که نیازمند سطح متوسط و پایین انرژی بودند را افزایش داد (05/0p <).
