ABSTRACT
The association between ABO blood groups and Helicobacter pylori seroprevalence is still controversial. We aimed to study the association between ABO/Rh antigens and IgG seropositivity in an Iranian adult population for the first time. Blood samples of 300 healthy young adults aging 18-30 years were collected for H. pylori antibody detection and ABO/Rhesus blood group antigen typing. 51.2%, 49.5%, 52.5% and 60.0 % of cases with blood groups O, A, B and AB were seropositive, respectively. The frequency of seropositivity was not statistically different among the four blood groups (P=0.843). No association was found between seropositivity and either Rh antigen (P=0.850) or gender (P=0.377). Seropositive individuals were significantly older than seronegative ones (24.48±3.72 years vs. 23.25±3.88 years; P =0.006). There was a sharp increase in the prevalence of seropositivity in the 21-24 year age group compared to the 18-21 year age group and in the 27-30 year age group compared to 24-27 year age group. Adults in Iran seem to be more prone to new H. pylori infection in the beginning and the end of their twenties than the years in between.

The purpose of present study is testing influence of injection oxytocin immediately after parturition and injection prostaglandin F2α, 20 to 25 days after parturition in dairy cows upon process of uterus contraction distance between delivery till first estrus distance between parturition till first and second Semenation, amount of pregnancy at first semenation and number of semenation for every pregnancy. In This study 30 Holeshtain dairy cow are used in 2 group of 15 (treatment and control group). Treatment's group received 10cc Oxytocin immediately after parturition and 5cc prostaglandin F2α, 20 to 25 days after parturition. The result statistically using chi sequare and t student test were analyzed with spss. The result shows a meaning full difference (p≥0/05) in uterus contraction, amount of pregnancy at first Semenation and number of Semenation for every pregnancy between treatment and control group. There is a noticeable improvement in percent of pregnancy for Treatment group (47/1percent for treatment group and 23/5percent for control group). The result also shows that injecting oxytocin immediately after parturition and prostaglandin F2α 20 to 25 days later can hare positive increase in amount of future fertility in dairy cow and also it can decrease economical loss in cow herd. This result can show connection of contraction influence of oxytocin and prostaglandinf2α in myometriom layer of uterus to enjection secrection and early contraction of ovary activity.

Increasing the levels of blood lipids is the most common factors in diabetes that will exacerbate its complications. PJ (Pomegranate juice) is a nutrient with medical purposes. The present study was aimed to investigate the effects of pomegranate juice on levels of triglycerides, cholesterol; LDL and HDL in healthy and diabetic adult male rats were done. In the study, 90 adult male rats weighing 200-220 g were divided into groups of control, diabetic and non-diabetic experimental groups. Each group includes 9 mice. Experimental groups received respectively 1, 2 and 4 ml of pomegranate juice per rat for 21 days. To create diabetes by Intra-peritoneal injection, streptozotocin 60mg/kg was used. At the end of experiment the animal hearts, serum levels of triglycerides, cholesterol, LDL and HDL were measured. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and LSD tests. The results showed that pomegranate juice in doses of 2 and 4 ml caused a significant reduction in triglyceride levels, respectively, P<0. 05 and P<0. 001, cholesterol at doses of 1, 2 and 4 ml, respectively, (P<0. 05, P<0. 01 and P<0. 001), LDL at doses of 2 and 4 ml (P<0. 01) and increased serum HDL in 4 ml (P<0. 05) in the diabetic group compared to control group and non-diabetic groups had no significant effect. Pomegranate juice is probably having a flavonoid and minerals such as zinc and by increasing insulin levels caused to reduce the amount of triglycerides, cholesterol, LDL and increase HDL in diabetic rats.

To evaluate the levels of cortisol, glucose and other possible indicators of goldfish, Carassius auratus, in response to stress, in the first experiment, Bisphenol A (0.5 mg/L), Naphthalene (200 μg/L) and Butachlor (60%) (0.28 µg/L) were added to the aquariums water for two weeks. In the second experiment, intra-peritoneal injections of Bisphenol A, Naphthalene and Butachlor, with dose 50 mg/kg, 50 mg/kg, 20 μL on the body weight of fish were performed. On the fifth day and the end of the experiment (fifteenth day) as well as 48 hours after injection, blood sampling from caudal vein was taken and levels of cortisol, glucose, total protein and inorganic phosphorous in blood plasma were measured. The results showed that the cortisol and glucose levels on day 5, was a significant difference between control and Butachlor treatments (P <0.05) and this difference was not observed in the other treatments. In addition, there were not statistically significant differences in the plasma levels of cortisol, glucose, total protein and inorganic phosphorus in fish under stress and control samples at the end of the experiment (fifteenth day) and injected samples (P>0.05). Comparing the results of the analysis of blood plasma in the fifth and fifteenth days of experiment, it was found that levels of cortisol and glucose in the treatment Butachlor had significantly different together within two periods (P<0.05). In general, it seems that the goldfish can be resistant to aquatic pollutants and respond time to the environmental stresses is between 3 to 5 days.

During a faunistic study on syrphid flies (Dip.:Syrphidae) on 2011 to 2012 of Djolfa region (East Azarbaijan Province), one Merodon (Meigen, 1803) species was collected. They were identified as Merodon latifemoris Radenkovic, based on morphological characters as a new species from Iran region. In this study, species were collected and transferred to the Laboratory of Entomology, in Islamic Azad University of Marand and studied at the morphological character. The syrphidae important organs such as legs, wings, thorax, abdomen and genitalia were examined. In this research isolated end of the tergit, and transferred in to KOH 10% for 24-12h and then transferred in to alcohol 10%, so added one drope glycerin at study time, and was recognized by prestigious keys. Their figures and a simple diagnostic key were provided for their determination in this region.

Brine shrimp Artemia, is a small crustacean which is found naturally in salt lakes and lagoons. Sofar several bisexual and parthenogenetic Artemia populations have been reported which have different phenotypic and genotypic characters. The biological properties of some populations has not been studied yet. Regarding that the populations of Turkey have not been characterized so far, in present study growth and survival rates of 6 and 5 Artemia populations from Turkey and Iran, have been compared under similar laboratory conditions. The Artemia were reared at salinity of 80 g/l and fed with a mixture of the alga, Dunaliella tertiolecta and enriched yeast with for fatty acids-for 15 days. Survival and total length of the Artemia were measured on days 3,7,11 and 15 of culture. Maximum (82%) and minimum (51%) survival were found for Zanbil and Camalti while maximum (8.93±1.61) and minimum (6.8±0.95) growth rates were for A. urmiana and Qom, respectively. This study also reveled of being different Artemia populations among the studied groups.

Carnivores play great ecological roles in ecosystems because of placing on top of the food pyramid. Food habits of large carnivores are associated with important ecological features such as spatial pattern, movement, habitat selection, social structure, geographical distribution and reproductive success. Accordingly, in this study was used scat analysis to determine the diet of persian leopards in Sarigol National Park using percent of occurrence index. The results showed that diet of leopards in the Sarigol National Park includes a high diversity of wild boar (Sus scrofa), wild goat (Capra aegagrus), wild sheep (Ovis orientalis), tolai hare (Lepus tolai), common fox (Vulpes vulpes), Indian crested porcupine (Hystrix indica), domesticated animals; dog, horse, bird and plant materials. Wild sheeps have the largest share and rabbits and horses have the lowest share in the diet of this species. Undoubtedly, identifying food habits of leopard and maintaining prey populations can improve management programs and conservation status.
