For the first time, 29 snail species are identified in Dez river in Khuzestan, which they belong to 15 genera from 10 families Identification was done according to morphometric characters including shape, size of shell, dextral and sinistral position of the shell, operculum, aperture, radula, mucus colour, respiratory pore, keel, renal ridge and reproduction system. The most and least distribution among identified snail species are 18 and 8 species belong to 4 and 2 stations respectively from Dez river, which they are 20/82 kilometers away from each other. The most commonly distributed family is Thiaridae with 8 species Melanopsispraemorsa ، Melanopsis costata ،Melanopsis doriae Melanopsis nodosa، Melanopsis subtingitana, Melanoides pyramis, Melanoides tuberculata Thiara scabra. <br> Bulinus truncates and Lymnaea truncatula are identified as the most frequent and has medical importance.<br>Melanopsis subtingitana Annandale,1918 and Gyraulus huwaizahensis species are reported for the first time from Iran. فون حلزون های رودخانه دز دراستان خوزستان طی سال های 92-1391 مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. مجموعا تعداد 29 گونه حلزون برای اولین بار در ایران از رودخانه دز استان خوزستان شناسایی شد که متعلق به 15 جنس از10 خانواده می باشد که بر اساس خصوصیات مورفومتری (شکل، اندازه، نقوش روی صدف، اپرکول، دریچه صدف، راستگرد یا چپگرد بودن صدف، محل قرارگیری سوراخ تنفسی ، خط میانه پشتی ، موکوس و رنگ آن، اندازه بدن، سوهانک، خط کلیه و دستگاه تولید مثلی ( شناسایی شدند. بیشترین و کمترین تنوع گونه ای در میان حلزون های شناسایی شده به ترتیب با 18 و 8 گونه مربوط به ایستگاه های 4 و 2 از رودخانه دز که به فاصله82/20 کیلومتر از یکدیگر قرار دارند، است. بزرگترین خانواده از نظر تنوع گونه ای خانواده Thiaridae با 8گونهMelanopsispraemorsa ، Melanopsis costata ،, Melanopsis doriae Melanopsis nodosa، Melanopsis subtingitana, Melanoides pyramis، Melanoides tuberculata و Thiara scabra است.همچنین از بین گونه های شناسایی شده مهمترین گونه ها از لحاظ پزشکی در انتقال بیماریهای انگلی در انسان و دام گونه های Bulinus truncatus و Lymnaea truncatula است. گونه های Melanopsis subtingitana, Annandale,1918 و Gyraulus huwaizahensis نیز برای اولین بار از ایران گزارش می گردد.
