The present study was carried out with the aim of determining the biometric factors, length and weight relationship, frequency percentage of length and weight groups, and identification of food groups consumed in Alepes djedaba fish caught from the coast of Makkoran. For this purpose, 120 samples of Alepes djedaba were collected from the three catchment areas of Ramin, Haft Tir and Tis in Makkoran coast located in Sistan and Baluochistan province seasonally from autumn 2019 to summer 2020. The prepared fishes were caught by traditional fishing boats. After the fishes were prepared and transferred to the laboratory, the biometric characteristics, including the total length and body weight, were measured and the pattern of growth was determined. In the next step, in order to identify the food items, the contents of the digestive system were separated and identified. The results of the present study showed that the Alepes djedaba caught in the Makkoran coast in different seasons have different length and weight ranges. The average total length and weight of the fish were 28.00±4.68 cm and 311.18±12.00 gr, respectively. Based on the results, the value of b in the length-weight relationship to determine the growth pattern did not show a significant difference with the number 3 (p>0.05), which indicates isometric growth in this species. Food items identified in the stomach contents of this species included fish and crustaceans. According to the food items identified in the digestive system of the studied fish, it seems that this species is an advanced predator that is at the top of the food chain. Therefore, despite the differences in the composition of the population of food items in each environment, this fish feeds on a relatively constant diet including various types of fish and small crustaceans. From the obtained results, it can be stated that this species is carnivorous and its growth is isometric, and in different seasons of the year, different length and weight groups of this fish are caught in the Makkoran coast.

Different acidifiers have been introduced for animal nutrition in terms of type of organic acids and their composition. This study aimed to investigate the effects of consumption acidifier obtained from a mixture of organic acids (containing formic, citric, propionic and acetic acid and their salts) on the broiler chicks growth performance and some intestinal parameters .Therefore, one hundred eighty 1-d old male Ross broiler chicks were studid in a completely randomized design to 3 nutritional treatments with 6 replicates and 10 broiler chicks in each replicate, from d 0 to 35 posthatch. The treatments included 1. a corn-soybean based commercial diet or Un-supplemnted diet (Control), 2. Control diet supplemented with acidifier daily and 3. Control diet supplemented with acidifier every other day. All of dietary treatments were formulated to meet the National Research Council (1994) and Ross nutrient requirements for starter (1 to 11 d), grower (12 to 24 d), and finisher (25 to 35 d) growth periods. The results showed that in the starter and grower phase, feed intake in groups 2 and 3 that had consumpted organic acids were less than control group or un-supplemented organic acids (P˂0.05). In the starter phase, mean of body weight gain of un-suplemented group or control was higher than the groups 2 and 3 or supplemented daily and every other day group, respectively (P˂0.05); but experimental groups showed no significant change in their body weight gain during grower and finisher phases as well as whole rearing period affected by consumption of organic acids. The group 2 (daily supplemented) had better feed conversion ratio than control group during growth period (P˂0.05). The mean of ileal Enterobacteriaceae counts for the groups that had consumpted acidifiers (daily or every other day) were significantly lower than control group (P˂0.05). The mean of villus length, villus width, crypt depth and villus height to crypt depth ratio of the ileum had no significant difference between groups affected by consumption of organic acids. The pH of ileal and duodenal contents between groups showed no significancy. The results of the present study revealed that supplemented diets with organic acids can reduce some of intestinal pathogens, improve the feed conversion ratio. Daily consumption of Organic acids was more effective than when it was consumption every other day for the bird growth performance characteristics.

In this study, rainbow trout diploid, triploid, and tetraploid were comparatively investigated regarding the growth performance, survival rate, and erythrocyte characteristics. For the triploid production, the fertilized eggs received 26.5 ℃ thermal shock under three treatments: 1. double 1-min shock after 15 and 30 min of the fertilization, 2. one 15-min shock after 15 min of the fertilization, and 3. one 12-min shock after 20 min of the fertilization. Tetraploidy was induced by application of 28 ℃ thermal shock under three treatments: 1. 10-min shock after 59 degree-hours of the fertilization, 2. 10-min shock after 66 degree-hours of the fertilization, and 3. 10-min shock after 72 degree-hours of the fertilization. The best triploidization results, 66.6% survival rate and 87% triploidization rate, achieved by application of 12-min shock after 20 min of the fertilization. The best tetraploidization results, 54.9% survival rate and 7.94% triploidization rate, achieved by application of 10-min shock after 59 degree-hours of the fertilization. There were no significant differences between the triploid and diploid fish, wheras the tetraploids showed significantly lower growth rate than the diploids. In conclusion, in this study, triploid and tetraploid production of rainbow trout were improved, and application of erythrocyte cell size as a reliable and efficient polyploidy detection method was emphasized.

Abstract
In this study, the effect of dietary intake of different levels of Cumin (Cuminum cyminum) extract on juveniles of Cyprinus carpio, was studied. For this purpose, 150 common carp juveniles (with mean weight: 20.3±0.89 gr) were randomly distributed in 15 fiberglass tanks (10 fish per tank) and fed by commercial diet containing 0% (control group), 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2% of ethanolic cumin extract (treatment groups). The fish were fed by apparent satiation thrice the day for 8 weeks. At the end of the experimental period, different growth parameters including weight gain, Daily growth rate, Specific Growth Rate, some condition factors, viscera somatic index, hepatosomatic index and nutritional indices including food conversion ratio, protein efficiency ratio, lipid efficiency ratio, total feed intake, net protein utilization, net lipid utilization were assessed. The results showed that administration of different levels of cumin extract in diets of juveniles of Cyprinus carpio caused an increasing effect on weight gain, daily growth rate and specific growth rate (P<0/05) compared to control group. The highest rate of these factors was observed in diet containing 2% of cumin extract and the lowest rate was for control group. According to the results of this study supplementation of 2% cumin extract to diet of juveniles of Cyprinus carpio may improve growth parameters and this herbal extract may presented as a growth promoter in carp culture.

Abstract The study of age and growth of aquatics is basic and necessary information for further fisheries management. By aging the fishes, we can estimate the population dynamics parameters such as growth and mortality rates. In this study the Otolithes ruber (Tiger toothed croaker) was selected as one of the most important and commercial species for aging from September 2008 to November 2009. During 15 months, a total of 540 specimens were collected and 238 sagitta otoliths were extracted and then were sectioned in laboratory using microtome cutter. The sectioned otoliths were aged by reading the increment rings. The overall Von-Bertalanffy growth equation was estimated as L(t)= 72(1-e -0.151(t+1.369)). The smallest fish was 18 cm total length and with an estimated age of 0.25 yrs; and the biggest size was 54 cm with the age of 8 yrs. The Length-weight relationship was found as W=0.0064 TL3.1268. The natural mortality of croaker was estimated 0.4604 per year.

This study was conducted to determine regional variation in growth characteristics and age structure of Squalius cephalus (Linnaeus, 1758) in the Southern Caspian Sea basin from April to June 2011. A total of 958 specimens from 3 areas including: Golestan (area 1), Mazandaran (area 2) and Guilan(area 3) were collected. In southern Caspian basin, the total length and weight of specimens ranged 22.00-30.00 cm and 138.62-347.70 g, respectively. The ages ranged from 0+ to 5+ years for males and from 0+ to 6+ years for females in all sampling areas. Parameters of von Bertalanffy growth function were different between males and females of each area and between the same sexes of different areas. The largest L∞ was found in the area 3 for female (L∞=38.97 cm).According to b values obtained, both sexes (except males of station 1) show a positive allometric growth. The highest values of condition factor were observed for males in early June. The result indicates that higher value of growth rate was for females.
