چکیده

ارسباران یک منطقه کوهستانی با کوههای دارای شیب تند و جنگلی است که در شمال استان آذربایجان­شرقی و در همسایگی کشور های جمهوری آذربایجان، ارمنستان و جنوب رود ارس، در محدوده '۴۰ °۳۸ تا '۸ °۳۹ شمالی و'۳۹ °۴۶ تا '۲ °۴۷ شرقی واقع شده است. در طی  مطالعه و نمونه­برداری  فون خزندگان منطقه ارسباران که از تیر ماه سال 90 تا تیر سال 92 انجام شد. مجموعا141 نمونه از 4 خانواده، 11 جنس و 12 گونه و زیر گونه سوسمار جمع‌آوری و شناسایی شد. که این نمونه‌ها شامل:
Paralaudakia caucasia, Phrynocephalus persicus, Trapelus lessonae, Anguidae: Pseudopus apodus, Lacertidae: Darevskia raddeii, Iranolacerta brandtii, Eremias strauchi, Lacerta media, Lacerta strigata, Ophisops elegans and Scincidae: Eumeces schneideri, Ablepharus bivittatus
 
که در بین اینها خانواده لاسرتیده با 6 گونه بالاترین تنوع را نشان می‌دهد و گونه Darevskia raddeii بیشترین پراکنش را دارد. در این مطالعه  گونه Lacerta strigata برای اولین بار از 30 کیلومتری شمال شهر کلیبر، واقع در منطقه ارسباران گزارش شد.
