Kidney diseases are an important medical problem worldwide. Since there are limited treatment options for damaged kidneys, stem cell therapy has become an alternative treatment. The aim of present study is to investigate effect of culture medium obtained from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs-CM) of newborn mice kidneys in percentages of 10, 30 and 50 on differentiation of embryonic stem cells towards kidney epithelial cells. Mesenchymal stem cells were isolated from kidneys of newborn mice, passaged and propagated. Determination of the identity of cells was done using flow cytometry and checking the expression of surface markers CD105, CD29, CD90. In third passage of extracted cells, supernatant culture medium was collected, hESC were cultured and multiplied in the complete culture medium of cells and the differentiation of hES cells into progenitor cells was investigated. The expression of PAX2, ZO1 and CK18 genes was investigated using RT-PCR, expression of CD133, CD24 and CD44 surface markers was investigated using flow cytometry. Flow cytometry results confirmed the mesenchymal nature of the cells. The results of differentiation of hESCs showed that expression of PAX2, ZO1 and CK18 genes increased significantly (p<0.05) in the groups containing supernatant. The results of flow cytometry show an increase in expression of CD133 and CD24 markers in groups containing CM and the expression of CD44 marker in the group containing 50% CM, compared to control group. In general, results showed supernatant culture process of cells has a positive effect on inducing differentiation of human embryonic stem cells into kidney progenitor cells.

Bryozoans are known as one of the coral-associated and cryptic fauna that plays an important role in sediment stabilization and contributes to framework-building species same as corals. However, little is known about bryozoan species occurring in the coral communities of Iranian islands. During a coral survey in Abu-Musa and Sirri Islands, Celleporaria pigmentaria was observed on some dead parts of Porites harrisoni and coralline red algae at depth of 3-8m. After sampling, specimens were bleached and were examined under a stereomicroscope and SEM. Specimens were identified to the species level based on skeleton and morphological traits according to available taxonomic guide. This species is one of the common and successful coral-associated bryozoan that belongs to Cheilostomatida. The C. pigmentaria easily recognized with black encrusting colonies, white blotches scattered over the colony surface as well as the non-uniform arrangement of its zooecia. This case study is the first report of C. pigmentaria in coral communities of Iran.

Oxymetholone is a 17-alpha- alkamine and a synthetic derivative of testosterone, which is obtained through the methylation of the 17-alpha carbon and the saturation of the 5-alpha carbon of testosterone. Oxymetholone is an anabolic-androgenic steroid which is used for the treatment of anemia caused by severe bone marrow weakness and the prevention of the consequences of hereditary angioedema or the treatment of growth delay which of course is used in bodybuilding to increase muscle volume and strength. Considering the harmful effects on this drug on the body, we decided to determine the effects of oxymetholone on the oogenesis of NMRI mice. For this, was injected(12mg/kg/day) interaperitoneally to mice in 6 and 4 weeks age in one periods of 35 days. The results showed that the significant difference between treatment and control groups was observed( P<0.05). This teratogenic effects involved: decrese in ovarian weight, decrese in ovarian diameter, decrese in number of Corpuse luteum, increase of primordial follicles, decrese of primary follicles, decrese of growing follicles, decrese of graaf follicles, decrese in number of atretic follicle, decrese of granolosa layer diameter and decrese in progestron. Additionally in some experimental case, the disorder in formation of granolosa layers and don’t formation of corna radiate layers, disordering of ovule medulla and formation of two oocyte in one follicle were observed. The results showed that the use of this drug in the experimental group will have a negative effect on ovarian growth and ovulation.

Abiratreone is known as the most important drug in reducing prostate cancer symptoms. Finding a way to transport the drug to targeted tissue by nanoparticles can be a crucial method in targeted therapy. At this survey adsorption of Abiraterone on structural and electronic properties of Boron-Nitrite at gas phase and in water solvent was studied using Density Functional Theory. It was aimed to investigate the applicability of BNNT as carrier for this drug. Different structural parameters, adsorption energy, dipole moment, density of state, molecular orbitals, thermodynamic and spectroscopy were considered to explore. The results indicate that adsorption energy of Abiraterone to the Nanocage in gas phase is -25/7 ev while for this complex in water it is 2/3 ev. Furthermore, a dipole moment value for complex in gas phase was the highest value and was 8/3428 deby. Chemical hardness and chemical potential showed the highest amount for nanocage while the electrophilicity highest values were for Abiraterone. Besides, spectroscopic results also confirmed the adsorption of Abiraterone on BNNT nanocgae

Freezing is a long-term egg storage method that plays an important role in assisted reproductive methods. The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of freezing solutions and docetaxel on the expression changes of autophagy genes such as Atg5 and Beclin-1 in mouse MII oocytes after glass freezing by cryotop method. To achieve this goal, mouse MII oocytes were collected and frozen in two different concentrations of 15% ethylene glycol, 15% dimethyl sulfoxide and 0.5 M sucrose in group A (VS1) and 7.5% ethylene glycol, glycerol. 7.5% and 0.5 M sucrose were frozen in group B (VS2) and some groups were affected by docetaxel before freezing. After thawing, the eggs were fertilized. The percentage of survival and fertilization of frozen and thawed oocytes was evaluated and the expression changes of genes (Atg5 and Beclin-1) were investigated by RT-PCR method. The results showed that there are significant differences between the percentage of survival and the percentage of fertilization in the freezing groups compared to the control group (P<0.05). The percentage of survival and fertilization in the VS1 group decreased compared to the VS2 group. Also, the percentage of survival and conception of the groups pre-incubated with Docetaxel was higher than the non-incubated groups. This study showed that vitrification with cryotop changes the transcript levels of autophagy genes in frozen-thawed MII oocytes, and pre-incubation of oocytes with docetaxel before vitrification can decrease the transcript levels of Atg5 and Beclin-1 in the experimental groups and above Increase the percentage of survival and the percentage of formation of two-celled embryos.

In vitro assessment of final oocyte maturation index (GVBD) in Persian Sturgeon and broodstock selectionFinal oocyte maturation index (GVBD) inin vitro for selection of Persian sturgeon Broodstock, Acipenserpersicus, was studied on 10 females captured from the Caspian Sea during reproduction season. About 150 oocytes from every broodstock, taken by hollow probe, were incubated in incubation media of RM2 containing 10 µg/l of progesterone for induction ofthe final oocyte maturation andassessment of GVBDindex. Results indicated that significant differences in GVBD of thein vitro and in vivo were observed (P<0.01). However, Broodstockes with rate of GVBD inin vitro higher than %50 had a significantly better ovulation, fertilization and incubation rates (P<0.05), from those with a GVBD lower than %50. It could be concluded that use from method of assessment of GVBD index under in vitro circumstance was preferable to nucleus polarization index for selection of suitable broodstock. Keywords:Acipenserpersicus, in vitro, GVBD,final oocyte maturation,Broodstock Selection
